Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Welsh Language Officer to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. In this role, you will play a key part in promoting and facilitating the use of Welsh across the organisation, ensuring compliance with Welsh Language Standards and supporting staff to provide bilingual services.

This includes the translation of documents from English to Welsh and occasionally from Welsh to English, as well as assisting the Communications and Engagement team to provide Welsh language content via social media.

This role will contribute to ensuring that the Health Board complies with the Welsh Language Standards Regulations (2011), thereby helping to ensure that bilingual services are offered to patients in the Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr and Bridgend areas.

The post holder will help to deliver a comprehensive Welsh language service in line with Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board's Welsh language policies and procedures and the Welsh Language Standards.

The post holder will work closely with service managers to support service improvement and ensure that the Welsh language is a key consideration in all University Health Board business.
