We are now looking for a General Manager to join our team in Plas Tan y Bwlch on a full-time basis for a one year fixed term contract, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As our General Manager, you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Plas Tan y Bwlch bed and breakfast establishment.

You’ll manage the day-to-day tasks of the administrative teams, the Catering Manager and Cleaning Supervisor, overseeing rotas and ensuring adequate staffing. You’ll also manage the work of the Caretaker and Gardener.

Undertaking financial duties, you’ll manage the budget, ensure targets are met, update financial records and prepare monthly reports.

Additionally, you will:

- Undertake general administrative duties
- Manage and update our bookings system
- Support our marketing activities and strategy

About You

To be considered as our General Manager, you will need:

- Fluency in Welsh and English
- Experience of managing in the hospitality sector
- Experience of administration work in a busy office
- Experience of supervising and/or co-ordinating staff
- Knowledge of Health and Safety relevant to a public environment, with experience of compiling risk assessments
- Good organisational skills
- A Personal License for the sale of alcohol
- An NVQ Level 5 in business, marketing or equivalent
- IT proficiency
- A full, valid driving licence
