About Us

Llofft is a new development that has been open for a year following a period of renovation of an old building on the banks of the Menai. Originally a sail loft for Y Felinheli slate ships, the building was a bakery and restaurant before the new owners completely renovated it and turned it into a bar/cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant on the first floor.  Since it opened, Llofft has made a name for itself as a welcoming place with a unique atmosphere and environment. The food and drink offer has been highly praised and appreciated, with a small menu and weekly specials on offer. The five star 'Google' reviews and consistently returning customers are testament to the quality of the food served from an open kitchen, with open fire cooking at the heart of it all. Good coffee is a central part of the Llofft experience with all our food and drink served before a spectacular view of the Menai Strait and Anglesey. In addition, Llofft offers a perfect location for parties or a special celebration. Various events also take place here - live music, film screenings and sports on a big screen, and it is possible to hire the first floor space for meetings or private use.

The successful individual will join a small, ambitious and enthusiastic team as Llofft develops into the future. The Front of House Manager will be expected to be an unparalleled communicator, a first class team player and a leader by example. We are looking for an organised, flexible person who can prioritize and offer solutions to problems. Attention to detail and the ability to offer first class customer care will be essential, and previous experience of working in a busy environment and under pressure will be advantageous.

The ability to communicate in the Welsh language is essential for this post

Start Date: September 2024

Location: Llofft, Ffordd Lan Y Mor, Y Felinheli, Gwynedd, LL56 4RQ

Salary:  £27-30k depending on experience and qualifications

Work hours: 40 hours per week on average. But due to the nature of the post and  seasonal pressures of the industry, flexibility will be expected as well as working on weekends and bank holidays.

Holidays: You will have 25 days pro rata

Pension: Staff have the right to join a pension scheme. If you are a member of Llofft pension scheme, Llofft will contribute 3% of your basic wage to the scheme. You will be expected to contribute 5%.
