Description:

ITV Cymru Wales is looking for an enthusiastic journalist with a passion for digital storytelling. 

As a digital journalist in Welsh Language Programmes, you will support the current affairs team in ensuring that all online content is as excellent and as accurate as it can be. 

You will be responsible for planning the day-to-day digital content of the department and co-ordinate the news gathering for S4C’s digital news service. You will have the opportunity to go on location to film creative, bespoke content for our different social media platforms, creating a wide variety of content for new audiences.  You will also supervise the work of two trainee digital journalists, sub-editing news articles and videos for the news service.

You will have sound editorial judgement and extensive knowledge of current affairs in Wales and beyond.

Full time

3 year Fixed Term Contract

Salary - Based on experience

Key criteria -  

- Relevant experience in creating digital journalistic content within news/current affairs

- Sound Editorial Judgement, with strong knowledge of media law and compliance.

- Excellent knowledge of digital platforms and audiences and knowing how best to reach them online.

- Excellent Welsh language skills and attention to detail.

-       Good communicator with experience of working within a team in a fast paced environment
