The role
We welcome applications from current staff members who wish to apply as a secondment opportunity.
The advertised post is part of the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit (LTEU) within Information Services. The LTEU reports to the Director of Information Services and works widely across the University supporting staff developing learning and teaching. One of the areas of the LTEU’s work is e-learning support and development.
The main focus of this 0.5 permanent post is to support staff and students using the learning technologies available at AU, including Blackboard, Turnitin and Panopto. The post holder will be expected to support users via Teams, telephone, email, as well as deliver training sessions to staff and students. The post holder will also take a role in supporting online exams at the university and running the annual Digital Experience Insights Survey.
The successfully candidate will be expected to be familiar with using these tools and be able to support AU staff in their use.
The main duties can be divided as follows
Provide phone, email and face-to-face support to staff and students
Provide group training and one-to-one / small group consultations for staff
Support online exams running during the exam period as well as mid-semester exams
Run the annual Digital Experience Insights Survey
The post-holder will report to the LTEU Manager.
This role is part-time – the successful candidate will be expected to work 4 days a week, ideally in the mornings. However, there is some flexibility of hours and days worked.
