Job Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Chief Executive and Secretary of the Association. This role will combine strategic leadership with governance responsibilities, ensuring the continued growth and success of Farmers Marts (RG Jones) Ltd. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a solid business background, particularly within the agriculture sector, professional services, or livestock related services.

Main Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

• Develop and implement the company's strategic direction and long-term goals

• Lead the team with a vision, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration

• Drive business development initiatives to expand services and client base

Governance and Compliance:

• Act as the Society's Confidential, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements

• Oversee corporate governance practices and maintain accurate records of meetings and decisions

• Communicate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders as required

Financial Management:

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting to ensure the financial health of the      organisation

• Analyse financial data to identify trends and growth opportunities

Client Relations:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and industry partners

• Ensure exceptional services are provided, meeting the needs of our diverse client base

Team Development:

• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance team, ensuring continuous professional growth

• Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organisation

Qualifications and Suitability:

• Leadership experience in the agricultural sector or professional services is desirable

• Strong understanding of auction, valuation, and estate agency practices                            

• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

• Fluency in Welsh and English is essential; learning the language is required for those who are not fluent
